Moderate evidence
The two zeaxanthin forms and lutein in this product are both rated possibly effective for age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the main eye condition this supplement targets. Lutein is additionally rated possibly effective for cataracts.

Lutein doses up to 20 mg daily haven't caused side effects. For pregnancy and breastfeeding, both zeaxanthin and lutein carry a rating of likely safe — though the data notes that while dietary amounts from food are fine, supplement safety in pregnancy and lactation hasn't been well studied, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before use if you're pregnant or nursing.
