It's rich in omega-3 fatty acids, specifically eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These fatty acids are crucial for various bodily functions, including brain health, heart health, and reducing inflammation. General Statements |
- Amounts reported as weight of the fatty acid compound.
Amounts reported as free fatty acid (FFA) equivalents by weight in accordance with GOED voluntary monograph.
|
Formula |
- Marine Fish Oil supplies important omega-3 EPA and DHA fatty acids derived from fish body oils. Molecular distillation processing and specialized refining technologies yield an ultra-pure fish oil concentrate. Each batch is independently tested for mercury, pesticides, and PCBs to assure exceptional oil purity. Added vitamin E tocopherols maintain freshness by protecting against oxidation.
Note: EPA and DHA values are reported both as weight of the fatty acid compound, a current common labeling practice, and also as free fatty acid equivalents to indicate the actual "elemental" amounts of EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED). Milligram weights that are calculated from volume (% of fatty acids in the oil), although commonly reported, do not accurately report EPA and DHA.
