Milkapalooza Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Milkapalooza against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Milkapalooza by Legendairy Milk
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Milkapalooza contains four active ingredients in a proprietary blend. Fennel is included for its traditional use; nettle and shatavari are added to support lactation, a traditional application particularly important to milk-supply products.
Moringa rounds out the formula as a nutrient-dense plant. The inactive ingredient is pullulan, a capsule material.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The evidence for what this product actually does is mixed and often thin. Fennel is possibly effective for period pain (dysmenorrhea), but the evidence for its other uses — bronchitis, anxiety, bedwetting — is insufficient to rate.
Shatavari is traditionally used to support milk supply, but reliable evidence doesn't exist in our data, and safety during breastfeeding is not well established. Nettle is possibly effective for diabetes, though evidence for hay fever, anemia, asthma, or prostate health is insufficient to rate.
Moringa has insufficient evidence for any of its claimed uses — diabetes, asthma, athletic performance, and others — so we don't know whether it works for what it's marketed to do.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Fennel is generally well tolerated in food amounts, but concentrated supplements warrant caution. Most people experience no issues, though some report mild gastrointestinal discomfort, photosensitivity (skin sensitivity to sun), or allergic reactions; very rarely, seizures have been reported.
Shatavari is considered generally well tolerated in traditional use, but high-quality safety data are limited. Nettle is typically well tolerated for most adults, with occasional constipation or diarrhea.
Moringa leaf seems well tolerated, though transient diarrhea occurred in about a quarter of trial participants taking 8 grams daily; rare allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported. Case reports of liver injury and Stevens-Johnson syndrome exist but are uncommon.
Pregnancy safety is not established for shatavari, nettle, or moringa root — fennel is best avoided in medicinal amounts during pregnancy due to hormone-like effects. Breastfeeding safety is not well studied for any ingredient at medicinal doses, despite traditional milk-support claims.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your medications against this product if you take birth control pills or other contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, blood thinners (anticoagulants) like warfarin, the antibiotic ciprofloxacin, cancer drugs like tamoxifen, diuretics, lithium, thyroid medication (levothyroxine), diabetes drugs, or medications processed through your liver's CYP3A4 or CYP1A2 enzymes. Use the interaction checker below with your exact drug names and doses.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Milkapalooza is marketed to support lactation, but the evidence for shatavari and moringa is insufficient, and fennel's evidence is limited to one use. More importantly, if you take birth control, blood thinners, thyroid medication, diuretics, lithium, diabetes drugs, or ciprofloxacin, this product poses documented interaction risks.

Milkapalooza by Legendairy Milk Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Milkapalooza by Legendairy Milk contains four active ingredients, and together they interact with a substantial number of medications.
The most serious documented interaction involves fennel and contraceptive drugs — fennel's estrogenic compounds may reduce how well birth control works, a Moderate-severity concern. Fennel also raises Moderate concerns with hormone replacement therapy, blood thinners (anticoagulants), the antibiotic ciprofloxacin, and the cancer drug tamoxifen, all through similar mechanisms or enzyme effects.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Nettle and shatavari both carry Moderate interactions with diuretic drugs and lithium, where additive or concentration effects could occur. Nettle also interacts Moderately with blood sugar medications (antidiabetes drugs) and warfarin (a blood thinner), since it contains significant vitamin K.
Moringa raises Moderate concerns with thyroid medication (levothyroxine), drugs processed through CYP3A4 enzymes, and P-glycoprotein substrates — though one HIV medication study showed no clinically significant effect. Moringa carries Minor interactions with blood sugar drugs and certain other enzyme-processed medications.
Additionally, we could not fully check the proprietary blend component. Altogether, these interactions span 1,009 individual medications.

Moringa
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, moringa might increase or decrease levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some in vitro research suggests that moringa inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). However, other in vitro research suggests that moringa extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes. A pharmacokinetic study in patients with HIV shows no change in the pharmacokinetics of nevirapine, which is partially metabolized by CYP3A4, when administered concomitantly with moringa leaf powder 1.85 grams daily for 14 days.
Levothyroxine (Synthroid, Others)
Theoretically, moringa leaf can antagonize the effects of levothyroxine.
Animal research suggests that moringa aqueous leaf extract might reduce serum triiodothyronine (T3) concentrations by inhibiting the peripheral conversion of thyroxine (T4) to T3.
P-Glycoprotein Substrates
Theoretically, moringa leaf extract might increase the levels and clinical effects of P-glycoprotein substrates.
In vitro research shows that moringa leaf extract inhibits renal P-glycoprotein transport activity. So far, this reaction has not been reported in humans.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, moringa might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs; however, research is conflicting.
Animal research shows that moringa can lower blood glucose levels. However, research in humans has not shown consistent blood glucose lowering effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, moringa might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that moringa extract induces CYP1A2 enzymes.
Nevirapine (Viramune)
Moringa leaf is unlikely to have a clinically significant interaction with nevirapine.
Nevirapine is partially metabolized by cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). In vitro evidence suggests that moringa inhibits CYP3A4. However, a pharmacokinetic study in patients with HIV shows no change in nevirapine pharmacokinetics when administered concomitantly with moringa leaf powder 1.85 grams daily for 14 days.
Fennel
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, fennel might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
Animal research suggests that fennel oil has antithrombotic and antiplatelet effects.
Ciprofloxacin (Cipro)
Theoretically, fennel might decrease the levels and clinical effects of ciprofloxacin.
Animal research shows that fennel reduces ciprofloxacin bioavailability by nearly 50%, possibly due to the metal cations such as calcium, iron, and magnesium contained in fennel. This study also found that fennel increased tissue distribution and slowed elimination of ciprofloxacin.
Contraceptive Drugs
Theoretically, taking large amounts of fennel might decrease the effects of contraceptive drugs due to competition for estrogen receptors.
Some constituents of fennel have estrogenic activity.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, fennel might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research suggests that fennel inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Estrogens
Theoretically, taking large amounts of fennel might interfere with hormone replacement therapy due to competition for estrogen receptors.
Some constituents of fennel have estrogenic activity.
Tamoxifen (Nolvadex)
Theoretically, taking large amounts of fennel might decrease the antiestrogenic effect of tamoxifen.
Some constituents of fennel have estrogenic activity, which may interfere with the antiestrogenic activity of tamoxifen.
Nettle
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, stinging nettle might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Clinical research shows that stinging nettle might decrease blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes.
Diuretic Drugs
Theoretically, combining stinging nettle with diuretic drugs may have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that the above ground parts and roots of stinging nettle may have a diuretic effect.
Lithium
Theoretically, stinging nettle might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium.
Animal research suggests that stinging nettle has diuretic and natriuretic properties, which could alter the excretion of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
There is some concern that stinging nettle might decrease the effects of anticoagulant drugs such as warfarin.
Stinging nettle contains a significant amount of vitamin K. When taken in large quantities, this might interfere with the activity of warfarin.
Shatavari
Diuretic Drugs
Theoretically, asparagus racemosus root might increase diuresis and electrolyte loss when used with diuretic drugs.
Animal studies show that asparagus racemosus root has diuretic effects when used in high doses. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Lithium
Theoretically, Asparagus racemosus root could reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium.
Animal research suggests that Asparagus racemosus root has diuretic properties when used in high doses. Therefore, it might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
