What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Mindlinx Complex against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Mindlinx Complex by BioCare
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Mindlinx Complex contains four active ingredients. L-glutamine is an amino acid that your body uses for immune function and gut health.
The product also includes three live-culture probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus CUL-63, and Bifidobacterium — beneficial bacteria meant to support digestion and intestinal balance. The capsule itself contains inactive ingredients like hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed. L-glutamine is rated effective for sickle cell disease, and possibly effective for HIV/AIDS-related wasting, recovery after surgery, and critical illness.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis, though it's rated possibly ineffective for atopic disease and we don't have enough data to rate it for acute respiratory distress syndrome. We don't hold effectiveness ratings for the other two probiotics in this formula.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
L-glutamine is rated likely safe in pregnancy and is generally well tolerated orally, though people with kidney or liver disease should use it only under medical supervision. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, and vomiting.
Rarely, dizziness and headache have been reported; in one case, mania or hypomania occurred in patients with bipolar disorder, though these are not common. For Lactobacillus acidophilus, there isn't enough pregnancy data to know either way — talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children, though rare cases of serious infection (bacteremia, sepsis, endocarditis) have been documented in vulnerable patients. Gastrointestinal side effects like bloating, flatulence, and diarrhea are uncommon.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you're on anticonvulsant (seizure) medications — L-glutamine might theoretically reduce their effectiveness, though this hasn't been reported in humans yet. Also, if you take antibiotics, separate them from this supplement by spacing out your doses, since antibiotics can kill the live cultures.
Run your exact medications through the search tool on this page to see the full list.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may help with digestive health or gut-related conditions if you're otherwise healthy, but it's not for everyone. If you take seizure medications or antibiotics, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting — the timing and interaction potential matter.
People with kidney or liver disease, or those with a compromised immune system, should talk it over first. Get personalized advice from your own healthcare provider about whether it's right for you.

Mindlinx Complex by BioCare Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Mindlinx Complex by BioCare has documented interactions through two of its active ingredients: L-glutamine and Lactobacillus acidophilus.
The most serious concern is L-glutamine's potential to theoretically reduce the effectiveness of anticonvulsant medications (seizure drugs), though this hasn't yet been reported in humans — L-glutamine is converted to glutamate, an excitatory brain chemical that might work against how these drugs function.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Lactobacillus acidophilus may also reduce its own effectiveness when taken at the same time as antibiotics, because antibiotics can kill the live organisms in the probiotic. If you take antibiotics, space them out from this supplement.
We couldn't check two other active ingredients — Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus rhamnosus CUL-63 — so we hold no interaction data for them. Altogether, these interactions span 232 individual medications.
Use the medication checker on this page to see whether any of your prescriptions are on the list.

Lactobacillus acidophilus
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
L-Glutamine
Anticonvulsants
Theoretically, glutamine might antagonize the effects of anticonvulsant medications.
Glutamine is metabolized to the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate. Glutamate might have antagonistic effects with anticonvulsant drugs. However, this interaction has not yet been reported in humans.
