MycoForce Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking MycoForce against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
MycoForce contains six active ingredients, all mushroom extracts: Shiitake, Maitake, Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps, and Beta-D-Glucans, plus Lion's Mane as part of a proprietary Mushroom Blend. These are traditional medicinal mushrooms used to support immune and general wellness.
The inactive ingredient is a plant-based capsule (VeganCaps).
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for most of these mushroom extracts is not well established. Beta-D-Glucans show the strongest data—they're likely effective for lowering cholesterol and supporting heart health.
The other ingredients (Shiitake, Maitake, Reishi, Chaga, and Cordyceps) have been studied for various conditions, but the data we hold rates them as having insufficient reliable evidence to judge whether they work. We have no effectiveness data on file for Lion's Mane.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Shiitake, Maitake, Reishi, Chaga, and Cordyceps are generally well tolerated when taken as supplements short-term, though long-term safety isn't well studied for all of them. Common side effects are mild gastrointestinal symptoms—bloating, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal discomfort.
Raw shiitake can cause a skin reaction called shiitake dermatitis. Chaga contains high concentrations of oxalate; there have been rare reports of kidney problems with excessive use.
Reishi has been reported to cause dizziness, dry mouth, and rash. Cordyceps are generally well tolerated for up to a year, though one rare case of liver inflammation has been reported.
The safety data advises against using concentrated Shiitake, Maitake, Reishi, Chaga, and Cordyceps supplements during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety information. We have no pregnancy or breastfeeding data on file for Beta-D-Glucans or Lion's Mane.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start MycoForce, double-check if you take warfarin (a blood thinner)—one case showed it can raise your blood-thinning level. Also check if you're on any blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (aspirin, clopidogrel, etc.), blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, immunosuppressants (after transplant or for autoimmune disease), or testosterone supplements.
These are the medication types with documented Moderate or Minor interactions in the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
MycoForce is a mushroom supplement whose ingredients are generally well tolerated as short-term supplements, though the evidence that most of them work for their intended purpose is incomplete. If you take medications for blood pressure, blood sugar, blood clotting, or immune suppression, or if you're on warfarin specifically, check your exact medications with the tool on this page before you start.
Pregnant and breastfeeding individuals should talk with their pharmacist—concentrated mushroom supplements aren't well studied in those situations.

MycoForce by HealthForce SuperFoods Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
MycoForce by HealthForce SuperFoods is a mushroom blend supplement with six active ingredients, and it does interact with medications.
The most serious documented interaction involves Maitake extract and warfarin (a blood thinner). In one case report, a patient's blood-thinning level rose dangerously after taking Maitake, so if you're on warfarin, you need to check with your pharmacist before adding this product.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Shiitake, Maitake, and Reishi extracts can all potentially decrease the effect of immunosuppressant drugs (medications that deliberately dampen your immune system after transplant or for autoimmune conditions). Maitake and Reishi may lower blood pressure or blood sugar when combined with medications for those conditions.
Chaga and Cordyceps may also interact with blood thinners. Cordyceps has a theoretical Minor interaction with testosterone supplements.
Maitake and Beta-D-Glucans may interact with immunosuppressants as well.
Additionally, Shiitake could theoretically affect how your body breaks down certain antidepressants and related drugs processed through the CYP2D6 enzyme pathway, though this hasn't been confirmed in humans. Altogether, these interactions span 655 individual medications.
We could not check Lion's Mane extract for interactions—it's listed as part of a blend without separate data. Use the medication checker below to search your exact drugs before you start.

Mushroom Blend
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research shows that taking maitake mushroom polysaccharide (MMP) can lower blood glucose levels in patients with types 2 diabetes.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that maitake mushroom can lower blood pressure.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
There is limited evidence that maitake mushroom may increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin.
In a case report, a patient previously stabilized on warfarin developed an elevated international normalized ratio (INR) of 5.1 after taking maitake mushroom (Grifron-Pro Maitake D-Fraction) 1 drop/kg daily in three divided doses for one week. The elevated INR resolved after holding warfarin for two days, then reducing the dose by 11%. It is thought that the beta-glucan constituent of maitake mushroom might cause warfarin dissociation from proteins, resulting in increased free warfarin levels and increased warfarin effects.
