Here's the thing to know: abciximab (ReoPro) is a strong IV antiplatelet drug given in the hospital, usually during procedures like angioplasty or stent placement. Its whole job is to keep your platelets from clumping so blood doesn't clot. Lion's mane, in early lab studies only, may also nudge platelets toward sticking together less. Stack those two effects and the concern is a bit more bleeding, things like easy bruising, bleeding gums, or oozing at IV and catheter sites.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical, based on test-tube research, not real patient cases. Abciximab is given under close monitoring anyway, so your care team is watching for bleeding. Still, let your doctor or pharmacist know about any supplement, including lion's mane, before a procedure.
