HelloPharmacist Scorecard of NovaPump Blueberry Lemonade by InnovaPharm
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
NovaPump has five active ingredients. Citrulline malate and agmatine sulfate are amino acid compounds often used in workout supplements to support blood flow.
GlycerPump (glycerol) is a humectant and osmotic agent—it draws water into tissues and is sometimes used to boost athletic endurance. Super Spinach is a whole-food concentrate bringing in the nutrients and compounds spinach naturally contains.
PegaPump (rue) is a dried herb traditionally used in supplements, though its effects are not well established. The product also contains inactive ingredients: natural and artificial flavor, silica (a flow agent), citric acid, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium (sweeteners).
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence on these ingredients is sparse. Glycerol is likely effective for constipation and possibly effective for athletic performance, though the data on athletic benefit is limited.
For spinach, agmatine, rue, and citrulline malate, the evidence we hold does not establish effectiveness for any specific purpose—the ratings across these ingredients range from insufficient evidence to rate them to insufficient reliable evidence. If you're considering this product for a particular goal, check with your pharmacist about what the research actually shows for that use.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Short-term use of agmatine appears generally well tolerated, but long-term safety in humans isn't well studied. Orally, it can cause diarrhea, indigestion, and nausea—mild-to-moderate diarrhea and nausea appeared in a small number of trial participants within a few days and resolved when they stopped.
Glycerol is generally well tolerated in normal amounts but can cause bloating, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and headache in larger doses. Spinach as a food is considered safe for most people and safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Rue, however, is concerning: it can be toxic in higher doses, the fresh form is unsafe, and the dried herb can cause cramps, drowsiness, dizziness, and gastrointestinal irritation. Most importantly, rue should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to safety concerns.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check these medication types before taking NovaPump: photosensitizing drugs (skin medications), antihypertensive drugs (blood pressure medications), antidiabetes drugs (diabetes medications), and warfarin or other blood thinners (anticoagulants). If any of your prescriptions fall into these categories, use the medication checker on this page to see if there's a documented interaction.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product mixes workout-support ingredients with herbs that carry real interaction risks—especially if you take blood pressure meds, diabetes meds, blood thinners, or photosensitizing drugs. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are reasons to avoid it because of rue.
Before you start, check your exact medications against our tool and talk with your pharmacist about whether this product fits your situation.

NovaPump Blueberry Lemonade by InnovaPharm Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
NovaPump Blueberry Lemonade by InnovaPharm contains ingredients with documented interactions affecting multiple medication types.
The most serious concern is rue (PegaPump), which moderately increases the risk of skin damage (phototoxicity) when taken with photosensitizing drugs—medications used for certain skin conditions and psoriasis treatment.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Agmatine sulfate presents moderate interactions with antihypertensive drugs (blood pressure medications), which could theoretically lower your blood pressure further, and with antidiabetes drugs (diabetes medications), which could theoretically increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Spinach (Super Spinach) also interacts moderately with antidiabetes drugs and notably with warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner—the vitamin K in spinach can reduce warfarin's effectiveness, especially with regular daily use.
GlycerPump (glycerol) has no interactions documented in our data. Citrulline malate could not be checked because we hold no data for it.
Although these interactions span 506 individual medications, the exact medications you take matter most. Use the medication checker on this page to see if any of your drugs are affected before you start.

For each ingredient in NovaPump Blueberry Lemonade with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
PegaPump
Photosensitizing Drugs
Theoretically, rue might increase the risk for phototoxicity when used with photosensitizing drugs.
Rue contains photosensitizing furanocoumarins and psoralens and has been associated with multiple reports of phototoxic reactions. There is also one case report of an increased phototoxic response to psoralen and ultraviolet A (PUVA) therapy associated with ingestion of rue.
Agmatine Sulfate
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal and in vitro research suggest that agmatine has mild hypoglycemic effects.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research suggests that agmatine can modestly decrease heart rate and blood pressure.
Super Spinach
Antidiabetes Drugs
There are claims that spinach leaves have hypoglycemic effects. Evidence from clinical research suggests that consumption of a spinach-rich meal reduces post-meal blood glucose levels. Theoretically, spinach might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Spinach contains vitamin K, which can interfere with the activity of warfarin.
In human research, although eating spinach with one meal does not result in coagulation test results outside the therapeutic range, daily consumption for one week necessitates dose adjustment of warfarin. Individuals using anticoagulants should consume a consistent daily amount of spinach to maintain the effect of anticoagulant therapy.
