Phosphatidylserine is possibly effective for age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer disease, meaning there's some evidence it may help but more research would strengthen that claim. For athletic performance, ADHD, general cognitive function, and dementia, the evidence we hold is insufficient to rate its effectiveness — we don't have enough reliable data to say one way or the other.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated when taken by mouth, though long-term safety hasn't been fully studied. The most common side effects reported in studies are flatulence, gastrointestinal upset, headache, insomnia, and nausea.
Insomnia is more likely at higher doses around 600 mg, and gastrointestinal upset can occur at doses of 200–300 mg daily. There isn't enough safety information to recommend this product during pregnancy, so it's best avoided then.

Theoretically, phosphatidylserine might decrease the effectiveness anticholinergic drugs.
