What’s inside
Full disclosure
This softgel contains 3 active ingredients: phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and phosphatidylethanolamine — all of them phospholipids, which are fat-like compounds naturally found in cell membranes. Phosphatidylserine is included because research suggests it may support brain function and age-related cognitive changes.
Phosphatidylcholine plays a role in cell membrane structure and function. The inactive ingredients are gelatin, vegetable glycerin, and polyglycitol syrup, which make up the softgel capsule and syrup base.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Phosphatidylserine shows possibly effective evidence for age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease. For other uses — athletic performance, ADHD, cognitive function in general, and dementia — the evidence isn't established enough to rate.
Phosphatidylcholine has possibly effective evidence for ulcerative colitis, but for other conditions studied (nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, alcohol-related liver disease, Alzheimer's disease, and anxiety), the evidence is insufficient to know whether it works. Phosphatidylethanolamine's effectiveness hasn't been documented in the data we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated in studies, though long-term safety isn't fully established. The most common side effects are flatulence, upset stomach, headache, insomnia (more likely at higher doses around 600 mg), and nausea.
Phosphatidylcholine is also generally well tolerated at typical doses, but high amounts can cause digestive upset — common effects include altered taste, bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. For pregnancy, safety data advises against phosphatidylserine use; for phosphatidylcholine, while choline itself is needed in pregnancy, supplement safety beyond food sources isn't well studied — talk with your doctor.
Neither ingredient has reliable data on breastfeeding safety; speak with your healthcare provider first.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take anticholinergic drugs (used for overactive bladder, Parkinson's disease, and similar conditions) or cholinergic drugs (such as Alzheimer's or myasthenia gravis medications). Both are moderate-severity concerns.
The product contains active ingredients that theoretically could reduce how well anticholinergics work or add to the effects of cholinergics.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may help with age-related memory loss or early cognitive decline, based on phosphatidylserine's evidence, but it's not proven for other brain or digestive uses. Because it interacts with anticholinergic and cholinergic medications, it's important to check your exact prescriptions before starting — anticholinergic drugs (like those for overactive bladder) and cholinergic drugs (like some Alzheimer's medications) are the biggest concerns.
If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or take any prescription medications, talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist first.

Phosphatidyl Serine Complex 1500 mg by Wonder Laboratories Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Phosphatidyl Serine Complex 1500 mg by Wonder Laboratories does interact with certain medications, chiefly through its phosphatidylserine and phosphatidylcholine content.
The most serious documented concern is a moderate-severity interaction with anticholinergic drugs (medications that block acetylcholine, used for conditions like overactive bladder and Parkinson's disease) — phosphatidylserine is thought to increase acetylcholine levels, which could theoretically reduce how well these drugs work.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Additionally, phosphatidylserine may have moderate additive effects when combined with cholinergic drugs (medications that increase acetylcholine activity, such as those used for Alzheimer's disease or myasthenia gravis). Altogether, these interactions span 219 individual medications.
Phosphatidylcholine, the third active ingredient, was checked and shows no documented interactions in our data. Phosphatidylethanolamine could not be checked — we hold no data for it.
Because this product affects so many drugs across two major categories, use the medication checker on this page to look up your specific prescriptions before starting.
