What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Probiotic 10 Premium against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Probiotic 10 Premium by Vitamin World
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Probiotic 10 Premium has 10 active probiotic strains: Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus brevis, Bifidobacterium lactis, Lactobacillus paracasei (two different strains), Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum (two different strains), and a proprietary blend. These are live, active bacteria meant to support your gut flora.
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients — dicalcium phosphate, vegetable cellulose, silica, and vegetable magnesium stearate — which are fillers and binders that help form and stabilize the capsule.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for most of these strains isn't established in our data. For Lactobacillus acidophilus specifically, the data shows it's possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
It's rated possibly ineffective for atopic disease (allergic conditions). For the other strains — including Lactobacillus bulgaricus — the evidence we hold doesn't support a rating for their use.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lactobacillus acidophilus is generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. However, since these are live microorganisms, there's a theoretical concern they could cause infection in people who are very ill or have a weakened immune system — if that's you, check with your doctor first.
Gastrointestinal side effects like abdominal discomfort, bloating, flatulence, and diarrhea can occur when taking a combination of probiotics, though they're uncommon. In one trial, a rash and itching were reported, though it's unclear whether they were caused by the probiotics or other factors.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take Probiotic 10 Premium, check your antibiotic medications with your doctor or pharmacist. Taking antibiotics at the same time as this product may reduce how well the probiotic works.
You may need to separate them by several hours or take them at different times of day.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may help with IBS, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, bacterial vaginosis, and H. pylori — though evidence is modest. If you're very ill, immunocompromised, or pregnant, talk with your doctor or pharmacist first.
The biggest thing to watch: if you're taking antibiotics, space them apart from this supplement so the antibiotics don't kill the beneficial bacteria.
