Reishi+ Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Lifecykel
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Reishi+ against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Reishi+ by Lifecykel
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Reishi+ has 4 active ingredients. Two are forms of reishi mushroom — a fruiting body extract and a mycelia extract — both derived from the reishi fungus.
The third is kakadu plum, a fruit concentrated into this liquid formula. The product also contains water, filtered water, alcohol, and natural flavors as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for reishi mushroom in this product is thin. For the conditions studied, reishi has shown possibly ineffective results for high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), and the data we hold is insufficient to rate its use for altitude sickness, Alzheimer disease, or athletic performance.
Kakadu plum shows possibly effective evidence for constipation, but evidence for other uses — bone health, cholesterol, and liver health — is insufficient to rate.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both reishi extracts are generally well tolerated in the short term, though long-term safety hasn't been well studied. Common side effects include dizziness, dry mouth, itching, nausea, rash, and stomach upset.
Some people have reported sore throat, runny nose, insomnia, or headache. Kakadu plum is generally well tolerated as food, though concentrated supplement forms lack safety data; the main side effect is gastrointestinal upset (gas and diarrhea).
Rare but serious effects from dried plums or plum pits include bowel obstruction. During pregnancy, the safety data advises against using reishi.
For kakadu plum in concentrated supplement form, there isn't enough data, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you're pregnant. The same applies while breastfeeding — reishi is best avoided, and there's insufficient data for kakadu plum in supplement form.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs), blood thinners (anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs), and diabetes medications before taking this product — all three drug types have documented Moderate-severity interactions with the reishi and plum in Reishi+. Blood pressure and blood-thinning effects are the top concerns.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Reishi+ may help with constipation (from the kakadu plum), but evidence for other uses is limited or lacking. If you take blood pressure meds, blood thinners, or diabetes medications, check your exact drugs with our tool before starting — the interactions here are real and worth a conversation with your pharmacist.
Avoid it in pregnancy, and watch for dizziness and stomach upset.

Reishi+ by Lifecykel Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Reishi+ by Lifecykel contains reishi mushroom extracts and kakadu plum, both of which interact with medications.
The most serious concern is that reishi may lower your blood pressure (hypotension) when combined with blood pressure–lowering drugs (antihypertensive drugs) — this is a Moderate-severity interaction. Both reishi ingredients pose the same risks.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
You'll also want to flag blood thinners (anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs). Reishi at higher doses might increase bleeding risk, and kakadu plum juice has been shown in studies to thin the blood and slow clotting.
These are Moderate-severity concerns. Reishi may also add to the effects of diabetes medications (antidiabetes drugs), which could theoretically lower your blood sugar more than intended.
We could not check natural flavors — that data isn't on file. Altogether, these interactions span 372 individual medications.
Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact prescriptions before you start.

For each ingredient in Reishi+ with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Reishi Fruiting Body Extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, high doses of reishi mushroom might increase the risk of bleeding.
A dose of 1.5 grams daily of reishi mushroom does not seem to decrease platelet aggregation, but a higher dose of 3 grams daily does.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, reishi mushroom might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research suggests that reishi mushroom decreases blood sugar. However, in patients with type 2 diabetes, taking reishi mushroom does not reduce fasting glucose levels, and its effects on glycated hemoglobin are inconsistent.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concurrent use of reishi mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Reishi mushroom has shown hypotensive activity in animal research. Clinical evidence suggests that reishi mushroom reduces blood pressure in some, but not all, patients with hypertension.
Kakadu Plum
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, plum juice might have antiplatelet effects.
Consuming plum juice while taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. In healthy volunteers, drinking plum juice 200 mL daily for 28 days prolonged clotting time and inhibited platelet aggregation.
