Anagrelide falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Reishi Mushroom interacts with.

Theoretically, high doses of reishi mushroom might increase the risk of bleeding.
A dose of 1.5 grams daily of reishi mushroom does not seem to decrease platelet aggregation, but a higher dose of 3 grams daily does.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing. Anagrelide already lowers your platelet count and can make your blood a bit slower to clot. Reishi, at higher concentrated doses, may have a mild blood-thinning effect of its own. Stack the two together and you could, in theory, raise your risk of bruising or bleeding, things like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or bruises that show up more easily.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern. It's mostly based on lab and animal work, not solid human studies. One detail worth noting: around 1.5 grams a day of reishi didn't seem to affect platelets, but about 3 grams daily might. Before adding reishi, check in with your pharmacist or doctor so they can weigh it for you.

Both Agrylin and generic anagrelide capsules are used to treat thrombocythemia secondary to myeloproliferative neoplasms — a condition where bone marrow disorders cause dangerously high platelet counts. The goal is to bring platelet counts down, lower the risk of dangerous blood clots (thrombosis), and ease related symptoms including bleeding and clotting events.
