Reishi Mushroom + Lisinopril
Lisinopril brand names: Zestril, Prinivil, Qbrelis.
Reishi Mushroom has a moderate interaction with Lisinopril. Theoretically, concurrent use of reishi mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.

ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Lisinopril
Lisinopril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Reishi Mushroom interacts with.
Reishi mushroom has shown hypotensive activity in animal research. Clinical evidence suggests that reishi mushroom reduces blood pressure in some, but not all, patients with hypertension.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: lisinopril already works to lower your blood pressure, and reishi mushroom may nudge it down a little further. The concern is that the two together could push your blood pressure lower than intended. In plain terms, that might leave you feeling lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or shaky on your feet, especially when you stand up quickly.
I want to keep this in perspective, though. The evidence here is on the weaker side, coming mostly from lab and animal studies, with mixed results in people. So this is more of a theoretical caution than a guaranteed problem. If you'd like to try reishi, it's reasonable to check your blood pressure at home and let your pharmacist or doctor know, so nobody is surprised by a low reading. Don't change your lisinopril on your own.

About Reishi Mushroom
What is Reishi Mushroom?
- Immune support
- Fatigue and general well-being
- Stress and sleep
- Inflammation
- Heart and cholesterol health
Reishi is a traditional Asian mushroom widely used to support the immune system and overall wellness. Human evidence for most of its claimed benefits is limited or low-quality, so it should not replace proven treatments. It is generally well tolerated for short-term use, but check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or take other medicines.
About Lisinopril
What Is Lisinopril Used For?
Brand names: Zestril, Prinivil, Qbrelis
Lisinopril treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children 6 years and older, and can be used alone or alongside other blood pressure medicines. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. The tablet combination product containing lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide is specifically indicated for high blood pressure.
Lisinopril is also used as an add-on therapy to reduce signs and symptoms of systolic heart failure, and to reduce the risk of death in people who are hemodynamically stable (have reasonably stable circulation) within 24 hours of an acute heart attack (acute myocardial infarction).

Lisinopril Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Lisinopril as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Reishi Mushroom — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
