Directions: Take one to four times daily or as directed by your healthcare practitioner, one hour before or two hours after a meal. Place contents of one sachet under or directly on tongue and let dissolve. Contents may also be added to two-four ounces of chilled pure water or preferred liquid; stir and drink within 30 minutes.

SAMe & TMG is a sweet and slightly tart lemon-flavored powder. SAMe (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine) and TMG (Trimethylglycine) are naturally occurring substances that act as “Methyl Donors.” Methylation, which declines with natural aging, and with chronic ethanol consumption, is a vital process involved in many biochemical reactions in the brain and throughout the body. Whereas many forms of SAMe on the market contain less than 44$ SS isomer, the form the body can most readily use, XYMOGEN(R)’s formula contains a 70% or higher SS isomer, making it cost-effective. Nitrogen-purged foil sachets maximize stability.*

S-Adenosyl-Methionine
Levodopa
SAMe might reduce the effectiveness of levodopa.
SAMe methylates levodopa, which might reduce its effectiveness for treating Parkinson disease.
Serotonergic Drugs
Taking SAMe with serotonergic drugs might increase the risk of serotonin syndrome and other serotonergic side effects.
SAMe has serotonergic effects. Theoretically, combining serotonergic drugs with SAMe might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome and cerebral vasoconstrictive disorders. In one case report, SAMe 100 mg intramuscularly was given daily with clomipramine (Anafranil) 25 mg per day. When the clomipramine dose was increased to 75 mg per day the patient experienced serotonin syndrome about 48-72 hours later, requiring hospitalization.
