What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Slim-VX1 against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Slim-VX1 by Terry Naturally
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Slim-VX1 contains 3 active ingredients. French Grape seed extract comes from the seeds of wine grapes and is rich in compounds called proanthocyanidins.
Ginger rhizome extract is derived from the underground stem of the ginger plant and contains gingerols and shogaols — the compounds responsible for its flavor and effects. The product also includes a Fiber Complex, though the specific fiber types in that blend aren't listed.
The capsules are made from plant-based materials (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) and contain inactive ingredients like silica, magnesium stearate, and cellulose powder for texture and flow.
Does it work?
Not established
Grape seed extract has possibly effective evidence for chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) — a condition where blood doesn't return efficiently from the legs. For other uses listed in this product's data, grape seed extract is rated possibly ineffective: chemotherapy-induced nausea, hay fever, and obesity.
Ginger rhizome extract is possibly effective for pregnancy-related nausea, period pain, and osteoarthritis. Like the grape extract, it's rated possibly ineffective for exercise-related muscle soreness and chemotherapy-induced nausea.
The effectiveness of the Fiber Complex itself isn't established in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Grape seed extract is generally well tolerated in studies. Common mild side effects include abdominal pain, diarrhea, dry mouth, indigestion, headache, joint pain, and nausea.
Rarely, anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) to grape skin has been reported. You can eat grapes as food without concern, but concentrated supplements should be avoided during pregnancy due to limited safety data.
There isn't enough information on concentrated grape supplements while breastfeeding — food amounts are fine. Ginger is generally well tolerated at typical amounts, though doses above 5 grams per day increase side effects.
Most common are abdominal discomfort, burping, diarrhea, heartburn, and a peppery irritant feeling in the mouth and throat — encapsulated ginger may cause fewer of these than powdered forms. Ginger is often used for morning sickness but check with your doctor first and keep amounts moderate.
There's little reliable data on ginger supplements while breastfeeding, so use food amounts and ask your doctor.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Slim-VX1, check with your pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet medications (including warfarin, phenprocoumon, or aspirin) — both ingredients may increase bleeding risk. Also double-check if you take diabetes drugs (ginger may lower blood sugar), heart and cancer medications processed by your liver, cyclosporine (an immunosuppressant), or blood pressure medications like losartan and nifedipine.
These are Moderate-severity interactions documented in our data.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is marketed for its grape and ginger content, which have modest evidence for specific uses like venous insufficiency and nausea. Slim-VX1 by Terry Naturally Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Slim-VX1 by Terry Naturally contains French Grape seed extract and Ginger, both of which interact with medications.
The most serious interactions are Moderate in severity.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Grape seed extract may affect how your body processes several types of medications through liver enzymes (CYP1A2, CYP2D6, CYP3A4, and CYP2E1 substrates), potentially changing their levels in your bloodstream. It also theoretically increases bleeding risk with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin and aspirin), and can reduce how well cyclosporine (an immunosuppressant) is absorbed — you'd want to space them 2 hours apart if you take both.
Grape seed extract may also decrease the effectiveness of midazolam (a sedative) with long-term use.
Ginger brings its own Moderate interactions: it may increase bleeding risk with blood thinners, antiplatelet medications, warfarin, and phenprocoumon; theoretically raise low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) risk if you take diabetes medications; and potentially alter levels of certain heart and cancer drugs. Ginger may also increase losartan (a blood pressure medication) levels.
We could not check Aspergillus niger for interactions. Altogether, these interactions span 1,050 individual medications.
