What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: strawberry powder. There are no inactive ingredients listed.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence we hold on strawberry for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), and high blood pressure (hypertension) is insufficient to rate its effectiveness. That doesn't mean it doesn't work — just that reliable evidence isn't established in the data we have.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Strawberry fruit in normal food amounts is widely eaten and considered well tolerated. When taken in supplement doses, it's also generally well tolerated, though concentrated supplement doses haven't been well studied in pregnancy or while breastfeeding — talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant or nursing.
Side effects are rare but have been reported. Nausea has been noted in clinical trials with high doses (50 grams daily of freeze-dried powder).
Allergic reactions — including oral allergy syndrome and skin reactions — occur rarely, as does contact dermatitis when applied to skin.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your medications against these two drug types before starting: blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like aspirin and Plavix) — a Moderate risk of increased bleeding — and p-glycoprotein substrate drugs (a Moderate risk of raised drug levels). Use the search tool below to verify your exact prescriptions.

Strawberry, Powder monograph & interactionsStrawberry Powder by BulkSupplements.com Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Strawberry Powder by BulkSupplements.com carries documented interactions with two medication types.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (anticoagulants/antiplatelets) — a Moderate severity interaction. In vitro and animal research suggests strawberry extract can slow down platelet clumping, which might raise your bleeding risk if you're on aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin, or similar medications.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The second Moderate interaction involves p-glycoprotein substrates — a group of drugs that rely on a specific transport system in your body to move through it. Early lab work suggests strawberry extract might block that system, potentially raising the levels of these drugs in your bloodstream.
Until more is known, use this product cautiously if you take p-glycoprotein substrates.
Altogether, these interactions span 310 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact drugs before starting this powder.

For each ingredient in Strawberry Powder with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Strawberry, Powder
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
In vitro and animal research suggests that strawberry extract can inhibit platelet aggregation due to its phenolic content. Theoretically, strawberry might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
Some anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
P-Glycoprotein Substrates
In vitro research suggests that strawberry extract can inhibit p-glycoprotein efflux. Theoretically, strawberry might inhibit p-glycoprotein mediated drug efflux and potentially increase levels of drugs that are substrates of p-glycoprotein. Until more is known, strawberry should be used cautiously in people taking p-glycoprotein substrates.
Drugs that might be affected include some chemotherapeutic agents (etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine, vincristine, vindesine), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), protease inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir), H2 antagonists (cimetidine, ranitidine), some calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil), corticosteroids, erythromycin, cisapride (Propulsid), fexofenadine (Allegra), cyclosporine, loperamide (Imodium), quinidine, and others.
