What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains 6 active ingredients designed to support muscle performance and strength. Three forms of creatine (creatine HCl, creatine monohydrate, and creatine MagnaPower) work together to fuel your muscles during intense exercise.
Taurine supports heart and metabolic function, betaine anhydrous helps with muscle endurance and body composition, and L-ornithine L-aspartate supports muscle metabolism and recovery. The remaining ingredients are inactive fillers and flavorings (silica, citric acid, calcium silicate, sucralose, natural and artificial flavoring, and malic acid) that make the powder mix and taste better.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Creatine (across all three forms) is possibly effective for building muscle strength, supporting sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss), and enhancing athletic performance. It's also possibly effective for cerebral creatine deficiency syndromes but wasn't found to be helpful for Huntington disease or osteopenia.
Taurine is possibly effective for congestive heart failure and hepatitis. Betaine anhydrous is effective for homocystinuria and possibly effective for high homocysteine levels, though evidence for depression, GERD, and fatty liver disease isn't yet established.
L-ornithine L-aspartate is possibly effective for hepatic encephalopathy but lacks reliable evidence for athletic performance and wound healing. The evidence for several ingredients on athletic performance specifically remains insufficient or wasn't established in the data we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Creatine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults, but if you have kidney issues, you'll want to be careful — your kidneys handle the excess creatine your body doesn't use. The most common side effects are dehydration, diarrhea, gastrointestinal upset, muscle cramps, and water retention.
Taurine is well tolerated short-term in typical doses; long-term safety is less certain. Common side effects include constipation, diarrhea, and indigestion.
Betaine anhydrous is generally well tolerated but may cause body odor, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or gastrointestinal distress. L-ornithine L-aspartate is generally well tolerated orally, though the intravenous form can cause nausea, vomiting, cough, and muscle cramps.
Creatine should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding because safety hasn't been established. The same applies to betaine anhydrous and L-ornithine L-aspartate — safety data isn't available, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using during pregnancy or nursing.
Taurine is likely safe during pregnancy and occurs naturally in breast milk, though supplement safety during breastfeeding isn't well studied — ask your healthcare provider for personalized guidance.

Tango Strawberry Kiwi by Redcon1 Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Tango Strawberry Kiwi by Redcon1 contains two ingredients with documented interactions: taurine and creatine (in three forms).
Altogether, these interactions span 171 individual medications.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Taurine carries Moderate interactions with blood pressure-lowering drugs (antihypertensive drugs). Taurine may lower blood pressure on its own, so taking it alongside your blood pressure medication could push your reading too low.
It also has a Moderate interaction with lithium, a mood-stabilizing medication — taurine's diuretic-like effect might prevent your body from clearing lithium as efficiently, which could raise lithium levels and cause problems.
The three creatine forms (creatine HCl, creatine monohydrate, and creatine MagnaPower) are linked to the same base ingredient and carry no documented interactions with medications in our data. However, creatine does require caution if you have kidney issues, since healthy kidneys are needed to handle the extra creatine your body doesn't use.
Betaine anhydrous and L-ornithine L-aspartate show no interactions are documented in our data, though we haven't checked one ingredient. Use the search tool on this page to check your exact medications against the full interaction database.
