Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: tribulus terrestris standardized extract at 1,000 mg per tablet. Tribulus is a plant extract traditionally used in herbal medicine.
The tablet also contains several inactive ingredients—calcium carbonate, vegetable cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, silica, magnesium stearate, and vegetable coating—which are fillers and binders that hold the tablet together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Tribulus has been studied most for sexual dysfunction, where the evidence is mixed but suggests it may be possibly effective. For athletic performance, the evidence suggests it is possibly ineffective—so if you're taking it to boost sports performance, the data doesn't support that use.
For benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), we don't have enough reliable evidence to say whether it works or not.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Tribulus is generally well tolerated in the short term in healthy adults, but long-term safety data are limited and quality varies between products. Serious side effects are rare but have been reported, including liver and kidney injury, seizures, and painful erection.
More commonly, some people report mild gastrointestinal complaints like stomach pain, nausea, or diarrhea—though in one study these rates were similar to placebo. Avoid this product during pregnancy because it may affect hormones and safety has not been established.
Also avoid it while breastfeeding due to lack of reliable safety data.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this, check with your pharmacist if you're on blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, or lithium. All three interact with tribulus with Moderate severity and may need dose adjustments or closer monitoring.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Tribulus may be worth considering if you're interested in herbal support for sexual function, though the evidence is moderate. If you take blood pressure medication, diabetes medication, or lithium, talk with your pharmacist before starting—these are important interactions.
Pregnant and nursing people should not use this product. Long-term safety data are thin, so this is best for short-term use in otherwise healthy adults.

Tribulus 1,000 mg by Amazing India Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Amazing India's Tribulus 1,000 mg contains one active ingredient—tribulus terrestris standardized extract—which interacts with several medication types.
The most serious documented interaction is with blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs). Taking tribulus alongside these drugs may increase the risk of excessively low blood pressure (hypotension), since tribulus can lower blood pressure on its own through a mechanism similar to ACE inhibitors.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Tribulus also interacts with diabetes medications (antidiabetes drugs) with Moderate severity. If you're taking medication to control blood sugar, adding tribulus might lower your glucose too much and cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Additionally, tribulus may interact with lithium—a mood-stabilizing medication—by potentially raising lithium levels in your body, which could require your doctor to adjust your dose.
Altogether, these interactions span 256 individual medications. Use the interaction checker on this page to look up your exact prescriptions before you start.

Antihypertensive Drugs

Animal research shows that tribulus can lower blood pressure by inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Tribulus has also demonstrated hypotensive effects in pre-hypertensive adults.
Lithium
Theoretically, tribulus might increase the levels and clinical effects of lithium.
Tribulus is thought to have diuretic properties. Due to these potential diuretic effects, tribulus might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium. The dose of lithium might need to be decreased.
