Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains 6 active ingredients, primarily a blend of omega fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, gamma-linolenic acid, alpha-linolenic acid, oleic acid, and other omega-3s. These are all fatty acids derived from fish and plant oils—the "triple strength" refers to the concentration of these omega compounds.
The inactive ingredients are fish body oil, borage seed oil, flax seed oil, bovine gelatin, glycerin, olive fruit oil, purified water, caramel color, mixed tocopherols (vitamin E), and natural flavors.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Oleic acid, one of the active ingredients in this product, is rated possibly effective for high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) and possibly effective for coronary heart disease (CHD). The evidence we hold does not establish how well the product as a whole works for these conditions, nor do we have effectiveness ratings for the other fatty acids in the formula.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Oleic acid is generally recognized as safe when consumed in normal amounts from foods like olive oil. At the concentrated supplement levels in this product, safety data is limited.
Regarding pregnancy and breastfeeding, food amounts of oleic acid are considered safe, but we don't have enough information on supplement-level doses. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you're pregnant or nursing, since personalized safety advice depends on your individual situation.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take antidiabetes drugs (blood sugar medications), let your pharmacist or doctor know before you start this supplement—oleic acid may increase their effects. Since we could not check most of the other active ingredients for interactions, mention this product to your healthcare provider, especially if you take any prescription medications.
The bottom line

Oleic Acid
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, oleic acid might increase the effects of antidiabetes drugs. Preliminary clinical research in patients with type 2 diabetes taking oral hypoglycemic drugs shows that eating a diet rich in oleic acid from olive oil decreases fasting blood glucose levels when compared to eating a diet rich in linoleic acid from sunflower oil. It is unknown if taking oleic acid supplements would have this effect or if this change is clinically significant. Until more is known, use caution. Dose adjustment may be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.
