Weight Loss Booster Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by SuperSmart
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Weight Loss Booster against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Weight Loss Booster by SuperSmart
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Weight Loss Booster has 2 active ingredients. Satiereal is saffron extract, a spice-derived compound studied for effects on nerve damage from chemotherapy and Alzheimer disease.
Raspberry ketones are the aromatic compounds that give raspberries their smell—their role in weight loss isn't established in our data. The product also contains acacia gum as an inactive ingredient (a binder and thickener).
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
Satiereal (saffron) is rated possibly effective for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage from cancer treatment) and Alzheimer disease, based on clinical evidence we have on file. We don't hold effectiveness data for raspberry ketones, so we can't speak to how well it works for weight loss.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Saffron extract is generally well tolerated at supplement doses, though gastrointestinal complaints, nausea, sedation, and vomiting are the most common side effects. Rare but serious: anaphylactic allergic reactions have occurred.
At higher doses—30 mg twice daily—saffron has caused anxiety and mood changes in some people, though lower daily doses were similar to placebo. Because saffron may stimulate the uterus, the safety data advises against medicinal or supplement amounts during pregnancy.
There isn't enough reliable safety information for breastfeeding, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using it if you're nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your medications if you take CNS depressants (sedatives, sleep aids, anti-anxiety drugs), blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, or caffeine supplements before adding this product—all have Moderate interactions with saffron. Raspberry ketones we could not check for interactions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is built around saffron, which has some research backing for nerve and brain health but comes with documented interactions with sedatives, blood pressure meds, diabetes drugs, and caffeine. If you take any of those, check with us before starting.
Raspberry ketones' effectiveness for weight loss isn't established in our data. A pharmacist can help you weigh whether saffron's potential benefits make sense for you.

Weight Loss Booster by SuperSmart Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Weight Loss Booster by SuperSmart contains an ingredient we could not check for interactions, so we can only report on what we know about the other one.
Satiereal (saffron) interacts with a number of medications, and the most serious concern is with CNS depressants—drugs that slow your central nervous system, like sedatives and sleep aids. Taking saffron with these can add to their drowsy effect; research shows saffron itself causes drowsiness at supplement doses, and animal studies suggest the combination deepens sedation and slows motor control.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Saffron also has Moderate interactions with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives) and diabetes drugs (antidiabetes agents). It can lower blood pressure on its own, so combining it with blood pressure meds may drop yours too far.
With diabetes medications, there's a theoretical risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), though the evidence is mixed—some clinical work suggests saffron extract lowers fasting glucose when added to diabetes drugs, but saffron powder alone hasn't shown this effect. One more Moderate interaction: saffron may slow how your body clears caffeine, potentially raising caffeine levels in your system.
Raspberry ketones we couldn't check—we don't hold interaction data for that ingredient. Altogether, these interactions span 518 individual medications.

For each ingredient in Weight Loss Booster with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Satiereal
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of saffron with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some clinical research shows that taking saffron extract reduces fasting levels of glucose when used in addition to hypoglycemic agents. However, saffron powder itself has not been shown to reduce fasting glucose levels.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of saffron with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects.
Animal and human research suggests that saffron extract can decrease blood pressure.
Caffeine
Theoretically, saffron might inhibit the metabolism of caffeine.
A small clinical study suggests that taking saffron powder 300 mg in 150 mL water daily for 5 days and then taking caffeine 200 mg seems to reduce caffeine metabolite levels in the saliva and urine in males, but not females. Theoretically, this may be due to the inhibition of cytochrome P450 1A2 by saffron.
Cns Depressants
Theoretically, concomitant use of saffron and CNS depressants might have additive sedative effects.
Clinical research shows that taking saffron extract 60 mg orally daily for 26 weeks can cause drowsiness and sedation. Animal research suggests that adding saffron to hexobarbital further increases sleeping and slows motor activity.
