HelloPharmacist Scorecard of White Mulberry Extract by Infiniti Creations
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: white mulberry leaf extract. White mulberry is a botanical traditionally used in herbal medicine, and this concentrated supplement form delivers more active compounds than you'd get from eating the fruit or leaves alone.
The capsule also contains vegetable cellulose as an inactive ingredient.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence on white mulberry for any health condition is not established in the data we hold. The supplement has been studied for hair loss (androgenic alopecia), bone health (osteoporosis), colds, blood sugar control (diabetes), and cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), but all those uses are rated insufficient reliable evidence to rate.
That means we don't have solid proof it works for any of them yet.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
White mulberry leaf appears to be well tolerated when taken by mouth. The most common side effects are digestive — bloating, constipation, loose stools, and gas — and they tend to be mild and may improve over time as your body adjusts.
In one clinical trial, about half the participants reported bloating or gas in the first few weeks, but these effects often decreased by week 12. There isn't enough safety data to know whether white mulberry is safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
The safety notes advise against medicinal amounts in both situations, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start this product, double-check your medications with the search tool on this page, especially if you take diabetes drugs (risk of low blood sugar) or OCT2 substrates like metformin (risk of drug buildup). No other medication interactions are documented in our data for the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
White mulberry extract is generally well tolerated and causes only mild, often temporary digestive side effects. However, it's important to check with your pharmacist before starting it if you take diabetes medications or certain kidney medications — the interaction data we hold covers 86 individual medications total.
If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist first.

White Mulberry Extract by Infiniti Creations Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
White Mulberry Extract by Infiniti Creations does interact with medications — specifically two important drug categories.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The main concern is with diabetes medications (antidiabetes drugs). White mulberry leaf can lower your blood sugar on its own, and when combined with diabetes drugs, that effect may add up and raise the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
If you take any diabetes medication, you'll need to monitor your blood sugar closely.
The second interaction involves a group of kidney medications called OCT2 substrates — metformin is the most common one. Animal research suggests white mulberry leaf may slow how your kidneys clear these drugs, potentially letting them build up in your body and cause more side effects.
Altogether, these interactions span 86 individual medications.
Use the medication checker on this page to search your exact drugs before you start.

White Mulberry
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, white mulberry leaf might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Clinical research shows that white mulberry leaf can lower blood glucose levels. Advise patients to monitor glucose levels closely.
Organic Cation Transporter 2 (Oct2) Substrates
Theoretically, white mulberry leaf might slow the elimination and increase the adverse effects of drugs which are OCT2 substrates.
Animal research shows that coadministration of white mulberry leaf extract with metformin, an OCT2 substrate, slows the renal elimination of metformin via inhibition of OCT2 activity. OCT2 is expressed in the kidneys and is responsible for transporting cationic drugs into tubular epithelial cells in order to be excreted in the urine.
