Here's the simple version: glipizide already lowers your blood sugar by nudging your pancreas to release more insulin. White mulberry leaf can also gently lower blood sugar, mostly by slowing how quickly your gut absorbs sugar from a meal. Stack the two together and the effects can add up, so your blood sugar could dip lower than you intend.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or suddenly very hungry. I'll be honest though, this concern is theoretical, based on how both work rather than strong studies. A bit of mulberry tea likely matters far less than a concentrated supplement. If you want to try one, please check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your home glucose readings.
