Clinical
This is an over-the-counter ear drop liquid containing carbamide peroxide, an oxidizing agent that is typically used to help soften and break up earwax buildup in the ear canal. The product is applied directly into the ear and functions as a ceruminolytic, meaning it works to dissolve or loosen impacted cerumen so it can be more easily removed. Carbamide peroxide ear drops are commonly used for temporary relief of minor ear discomfort related to excess earwax.
