Clinical
Senna-S is an oral tablet that combines two active ingredients commonly used to promote bowel movements. Sennosides are a natural plant extract that typically functions as a stimulant laxative by increasing intestinal muscle contractions. Docusate sodium is a stool softener that generally works by helping water mix into stool to make it easier to pass. This is an over-the-counter monograph product, meaning it is marketed under the FDA's established rules for this category of laxative products.
