What happens

An increased digoxin exposure

Interaction Deep Dive

Concomitant use of digoxin and angiotensin receptor blockers may increase digoxin exposure. A decline in GFR or tubular secretion may impair the excretion of digoxin. If coadministration is required, measure serum digoxin exposure before initiation. Monitor potential signs and symptoms of clinical toxicity is necessary when initiating, adjusting, or discontinuing ACE-inhibitors1243.
