1-androsterone + Pramlintide
Pramlintide brand name: Symlin.
We found no known interaction between 1-androsterone and Pramlintide in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
1-androsterone and Pramlintide
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Pramlintide and 1-androsterone in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Pramlintide
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Pramlintide is filed under a single classification — antidiabetes drugs. 1-androsterone has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being testosterone (moderate) — and none of Pramlintide’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.
1-androsterone Does Interact With Other Medications

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Pramlintide
This page covers 1-androsterone only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Pramlintide page lists 239 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Siberian Cocklebur (major), Acai (moderate), African Wild Potato (moderate), Agaricus Mushroom (moderate) and Agmatine (moderate).
By severity: 1 major · 208 moderate · 30 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Pramlintide page
“The single entry rated major on the pramlintide (Symlin) list is Siberian cocklebur, which has caused severe hypoglycemia in humans, not just in lab studies. That matters more than usual here because pramlintide is injected at mealtimes alongside insulin, and a dangerous low is already the main hazard of that pairing.”

About 1-androsterone
What is 1-androsterone?
- Muscle building
- Increasing strength
- Athletic performance
- Body recomposition
1-Androsterone (1-DHEA or 1-Andro) is a synthetic prohormone marketed to bodybuilders for muscle and strength gains, but it has not been proven safe or effective in quality human studies. It can affect hormones and may harm the liver and other organs, so most pharmacists would recommend avoiding it.
Synthetic compound (not a plant part) · Capsules, tablets, sometimes combined with other prohormones
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether 1-androsterone is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our 1-androsterone record says about it on its own.
1-androsterone: dosing
There is no established safe or standard dose for 1-androsterone, and no medical guideline supports its use. Products vary widely in strength and ingredients.Because of the health risks involved, the safest choice for most people is not to use it at all. Never combine it with other prohormones or hormone products.

About Pramlintide Injection
What Is Pramlintide Injection Used For?
Brand name: Symlin
SymlinPen (pramlintide) is used as an add-on treatment for adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who already use mealtime insulin but still haven't reached their target blood sugar levels — even with optimal insulin therapy.
It is not a replacement for insulin. It works alongside insulin, given right before major meals, to reduce the spike in blood sugar that happens after eating.

Pramlintide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Pramlintide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with 1-androsterone — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
