Lesinurad, Allopurinol falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Algin interacts with.

Theoretically, algin can alter the absorption of oral drugs. Laboratory research shows that algin, when consumed as part of the diet or used as a thickening agent in infant formula, reduces the absorption of certain minerals. Also, algin has been used as a tablet binder and disintegrant to enhance drug bioavailability. To avoid changes in absorption, take algin 30-60 minutes after oral medications.

Here's the gist with Duzallo (lesinurad plus allopurinol), your once-daily gout pill. Algin is basically a soluble seaweed fiber, and like other gels and fibers it can soak up water and form a thick layer in your stomach. The concern is purely about timing and absorption: if algin and your gout pill are sitting in the stomach together, the gel could trap a little of the medicine and keep your body from absorbing the full dose.

Honestly, this is a theoretical, minor concern based on lab work, not strong real-world reports, so don't panic. To stay on the safe side, take your Duzallo first and wait at least 30 to 60 minutes before any algin product. If your uric acid numbers or gout symptoms drift, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.
