Here's the gist: Trulicity (dulaglutide) is a weekly injection that already lowers your blood sugar. Ambrette contains a plant compound called myricetin that, in animal studies, also nudged blood sugar down. Put the two together and, at least in theory, your blood sugar could drop a little lower than expected.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It's based on lab and animal work, not real people taking ambrette with diabetes meds, so the risk is more of a maybe than a sure thing. Dulaglutide on its own rarely causes serious lows unless you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea. Still, if you start ambrette, watch for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy, and check your sugars. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
