Here's the gist for combining ambrette with your metformin. Metformin already works to lower your blood sugar, and ambrette contains a plant compound called myricetin that, in animal studies, also nudged blood sugar downward. So in theory, taking the two together might lower your blood sugar a little more than metformin alone would. That could mean signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy, though metformin by itself rarely drops sugar that far.

I want to be honest: this concern comes only from lab and animal work, not real human studies, so it's quite theoretical. Still, if you'd like to try ambrette, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your blood sugar readings.
