Here's the gist for Nurtec ODT (rimegepant): your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear this medicine out. Lab studies hint that American elder may slow that enzyme down. If that happens, rimegepant could linger longer and build up a bit, which in theory might make side effects like nausea or mild stomach upset a little more noticeable. Rimegepant is not a prodrug, so more of it in your system means stronger drug effect, not weaker.

The important caveat: this is based only on test-tube research, not real people, so we honestly don't know if it matters in everyday life. Occasional elderberry for a cold is unlikely to be a problem, but check with your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated supplements regularly.
