What Is Amisulpride Injection Used For?

Brand name: Barhemsys

Barhemsys (amisulpride injection) is approved for adults to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) — nausea and vomiting that can occur after surgery and anesthesia. It can be used alone or alongside another anti-nausea medicine from a different drug class.

Barhemsys is also used to treat PONV when it occurs after surgery, either in patients who already received a different anti-nausea medicine as prevention, or in patients who received no preventive anti-nausea treatment at all.
