Arrach + Clomipramine
Clomipramine brand names: Anafranil, Anafranil SR.
Arrach has a moderate interaction with Clomipramine. Theoretically, concomitant use of arrach can increase risk of adverse effects, as unspecified Chenopodium species are associated with photosensitivity.

PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS
Why this applies to Clomipramine
Clomipramine falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Arrach interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know about pairing Arrach with clomipramine: this isn't about how your body breaks the medicine down or how strong it gets in your bloodstream. It's about your skin. Some Chenopodium (goosefoot) plants have been linked to photosensitivity, meaning they may make your skin react more strongly to sunlight. Clomipramine can already do this on its own, so using both together could, in theory, leave you sunburning faster or breaking out in a rash more easily.
I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on plant chemistry, not strong human studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you do use Arrach, wear sunscreen and cover up outdoors, and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Clomipramine page
“A tricyclic antidepressant used mostly for OCD, clomipramine (Anafranil) is unforgiving of shifts in its blood level, which is why its 236 supplement interactions deserve genuine wariness. Most of the list involves metabolism: herbs that speed up or slow down the liver enzymes handling clomipramine can drag its level too low or push it…”

About Arrach
What is Arrach?
- Painful menstruation
- Nervous complaints
- Digestive upset
- Wound care
- Insect repellent
Arrach (Chenopodium vulvaria) is a strong-smelling European herb that has been used in traditional folk medicine, mainly for menstrual and nervous complaints. There is very little modern scientific evidence to show that it works or is safe, so it is not recommended, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using any herbal product.

Clomipramine Is Linked to Lower Levels of 3 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Clomipramine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Arrach — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
