Here's the simple version: Janumet combines two diabetes medicines (metformin and sitagliptin) that already work to bring your blood sugar down. Artemisia herba-alba has been shown in some early lab and animal studies to lower blood sugar on its own. Put them together and you may get a bigger drop than you bargained for, which raises the chance of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). That can feel like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling weak.

I'll be honest with you, this is mostly a theoretical concern based on how the herb behaves, not strong human proof. Still, since you'd be stacking two things that push sugar the same direction, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them and keep an eye on your readings.
