Cyclandelate is a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes and widens your blood vessels to improve blood flow. Beer adds its own blood-vessel-relaxing punch, since alcohol can lower blood pressure too. Put the two together and those effects can stack up, which is what the interaction here is warning about.

In plain terms, drinking beer while taking cyclandelate may make your blood pressure drop more than expected. That can leave you feeling lightheaded, dizzy, flushed, or weak, especially when you stand up quickly, and could raise your odds of a fall. The risk is higher with heavier drinking than with a single small beer. Please don't change anything on your own. Check with your pharmacist or doctor about whether occasional, light drinking is okay for you.
