Bromazepam is a benzodiazepine that calms the nervous system, so it already tends to make people feel drowsy, relaxed, or a bit foggy. The thought here is that berberine may add its own mild sedating effect on top of that. Put the two together and you could, in theory, feel sleepier, more lightheaded, or slower to react than the medicine alone would cause.

I want to be honest about the strength of this one: it comes only from animal and lab studies, not from people, so it is mostly a theoretical concern. It is not a reason to panic. Still, if you notice extra grogginess or dizziness after adding berberine, ease up on driving and check in with your pharmacist or doctor before continuing both.
