Here's the gist with Humira (adalimumab). It's an injectable biologic that works by calming an overactive immune system, which is exactly how it helps conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's, and psoriasis. The concern on file is that black seed might nudge your immune system, but honestly the research is murky. Some lab and animal studies suggest it revs immune activity up, while others suggest it dials it down.

So in theory, if black seed stimulated immunity, it could work against what Humira is trying to do and let your symptoms flare. But this is only a theoretical idea from test-tube and animal data, not from people. Food-amount seasoning is unlikely to matter; concentrated supplements are the real question. What Is Adalimumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Humira

Adalimumab injection treats a range of moderate-to-severe inflammatory conditions in adults and some children. These include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, plaque psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa (a chronic skin condition), and non-infectious uveitis (inflammation inside the eye). It is also approved to treat polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis in patients as young as 2 years old, and Crohn's disease in children 6 years and older.

Yuflyma is additionally approved for non-infectious uveitis in pediatric patients 2 years and older, and for hidradenitis suppurativa in patients 12 years and older. Not every brand or formulation is approved for every condition listed — your prescriber will match the right product to your specific diagnosis.
