Here's the gist with Prednisolone and black seed. Prednisolone is a corticosteroid we use to calm down an overactive immune system, whether that's quieting inflammation, taming allergic reactions, or helping protect a transplanted organ. The concern is that black seed has shown effects on the immune system in lab and animal research, and oddly enough the studies pull in both directions: some hint it revs immunity up, others suggest it dials it down. Either way, it could theoretically tug against how steady your prednisolone keeps things.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical and based only on test-tube and animal work, not people. Food-amount sprinkles of the spice are very unlikely to matter. Concentrated capsules or oil are the bigger question, especially if your prednisolone is doing important work like preventing transplant rejection. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.

Theoretically black seed might reduce plasma levels and therapeutic effects of prednisolone.
In animal research, oral administration of a single dose of black seed oil 15 minutes prior to oral prednisolone decreases the prednisolone maximum plasma concentration by 65% and area under the curve by 25%. This has not been shown in humans.

Here's the gist for combining black seed with prednisolone. In one animal study, black seed oil taken right before a dose lowered the amount of prednisolone that got into the bloodstream. The concern is that black seed might blunt how well prednisolone works, so the conditions you take it for (think inflammation, allergic flare-ups, asthma, or arthritis pain) could be controlled a little less.

Now, the important part: this was seen in animals only, never confirmed in people, and it's rated a minor, theoretical interaction. Food amounts of black seed as a spice are very unlikely to matter. Concentrated supplement doses are less studied. Don't change anything on your own, but do mention the supplement to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on how well your prednisolone is working.

Prednisolone is prescribed for many different conditions where inflammation or an overactive immune system is causing harm. These range from severe allergic reactions and asthma to certain skin diseases, blood disorders, eye problems, and some cancers.
