This combination product pairs codeine, an opioid that can make you sleepy, with pseudoephedrine, a decongestant. The concern here is mostly about the codeine half. Animal studies hint that black seed may have a mild calming or sedating effect of its own. So in theory, taking concentrated black seed supplements alongside codeine could add up to extra drowsiness, dizziness, or slowed breathing.

I want to be honest though: this is only based on lab and animal research, so it's more of a 'keep an eye out' than a sure thing. Food-amounts of black seed used as a spice are unlikely to matter. If you take supplement-strength doses, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor first, especially since codeine already causes sleepiness.
