Aspirin, Omeprazole falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Buchu interacts with.

Buchu may have antiplatelet effects. Theoretically, buchu may enhance the effects of anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs and increase the risk of bleeding in some patients. Some anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Your Yosprala combines a blood thinner (aspirin) with a stomach-acid blocker (omeprazole). The thing to watch here is the aspirin half. Aspirin already keeps your platelets from clumping, which is exactly how it protects you against clots. The concern is that buchu may have its own mild blood-thinning action, so stacking the two could, in theory, nudge your bleeding risk a little higher.

Honestly, this is a very weak, theoretical concern. It comes from anecdotal reports, not solid studies. Still, if you notice easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or dark stools, that's worth a call. Please don't stop your Yosprala, but do check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding buchu, especially around any surgery or dental work.
