Aspirin, Omeprazole falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Danshen interacts with.

Theoretically, danshen may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Danshen has been reported to have antithrombotic effects. Animal research also suggests that taking a danshen combination formula with clopidogrel exhibits a synergistic increase in antiplatelet aggregation and prolongation of coagulation time when compared with either taken alone.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with Yosprala: the aspirin part already thins your blood by keeping platelets from sticking together. Danshen appears to do something similar, so stacking the two could push your blood-thinning effect further than intended. That can mean easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or bleeding that takes longer to stop. The omeprazole side isn't the worry here, it just protects your stomach lining.

I'll be honest about the evidence: this is mostly theoretical and based on animal studies and case reports, not strong human trials. Still, since added bleeding risk is a serious thing, I wouldn't combine them on your own. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Danshen so they can weigh it for your situation.

Theoretically, danshen may increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.
In vitro research shows that various constituents of danshen inhibit the activity of CYP2C9. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the thing with Yosprala, which pairs aspirin with omeprazole. The omeprazole half is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In test-tube studies, compounds in Danshen seem to slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let omeprazole build up a bit higher in your body. I want to be honest though: this has only been seen in lab work, not in actual people, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem.

What worries me more is overlap, not enzymes. Both aspirin and Danshen can thin the blood and affect clotting, so using them together may raise your chance of easy bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach bleeding. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially since you're on aspirin for your heart.

Danshen might alter the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Preliminary clinical research in healthy males shows that the administration of danshen for 10-14 days induces intestinal CYP3A4 and increases the clearance of midazolam, a CYP3A4 substrate. The maximum concentration of midazolam was decreased by 31% to 67%, and drug levels were decreased by 27% to 80%. However, a single dose of danshen has the opposite effect, increasing maximum concentrations of midazolam by 87%.

Here's the thing about Danshen and your Yosprala (aspirin with omeprazole): the omeprazole part is partly handled by a liver and gut enzyme called CYP3A4. In a small human study, taking Danshen for about two weeks sped that enzyme up, which could clear omeprazole a bit faster. The practical worry is that omeprazole might not lower your stomach acid quite as well, leaving your stomach less protected from the aspirin you're taking to prevent a heart attack or stroke.

There's a second concern that's actually bigger here. Danshen itself may thin the blood, and aspirin already does that. Together they could raise your risk of bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach bleeding. The evidence is early and modest, so don't panic, but please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
