Here's the simple version. Methoxamine (Vasoxyl) is an alpha-adrenergic agonist, which means it works by tightening your blood vessels to raise blood pressure. It's a hospital medication, usually given by injection. The catch with Butcher's Broom is that lab and animal research suggests it may have similar blood-vessel-tightening (alpha-agonist) activity of its own.

So in theory, taking them together could add up and push the effect too far, meaning higher blood pressure, a slower heartbeat, headache, or feeling jittery. I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical concern based on pharmacology, not real patient reports. Still, since Methoxamine is potent and given in serious situations, it's worth mentioning Butcher's Broom to your doctor or pharmacist.
