Here's the gist of this one. Butcher's broom seems to do the opposite of what's called an alpha-adrenergic blocker. In lab and animal studies it acts like an alpha agonist, meaning it can tighten blood vessels a bit. Aripiprazole (Abilify) isn't a classic alpha-blocker, but it does have some mild alpha-blocking activity, which is partly why a few people feel dizzy or lightheaded when standing up, especially early on.

So in theory, butcher's broom could slightly blunt that blood-vessel-relaxing piece of aripiprazole's effect. This is theoretical, based only on lab data, not real patient reports, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you're considering butcher's broom, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.
