Butcher's Broom + Tamsulosin
Tamsulosin brand name: Flomax.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ALPHA-ADRENERGIC ANTAGONISTS
Why this applies to Tamsulosin
Tamsulosin falls under ALPHA-ADRENERGIC ANTAGONISTS — the group Butcher's Broom interacts with.
Animal and in vitro studies show that butcher's broom has alpha-adrenergic agonist effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the idea behind this pairing. Tamsulosin works by blocking alpha receptors in your prostate and bladder neck, which relaxes those muscles so urine flows more easily. Butcher's broom seems to do the opposite. In lab and animal studies, its plant compounds act as alpha stimulators, the very receptors tamsulosin is trying to quiet down. So in theory, butcher's broom could blunt how well your tamsulosin works.
If that happened, you might notice your old BPH symptoms creeping back, like a weaker stream, dribbling, or going to the bathroom more often. I'll be honest though, this is theoretical and based only on early research, not real-world cases. Still, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before you combine them so they can keep an eye on your symptoms.
