Here's the situation with Zeposia (ozanimod). One of the ways your body breaks ozanimod down acts a bit like a monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzyme, which is why it lands in the MAOI category for interaction checks. Calamus may nudge those same pathways, so on paper it could add to ozanimod's effects and side effects. Realistically that might look like a slower heart rate, dizziness, or higher blood pressure, especially when you stand up or eat tyramine-rich foods.

I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern drawn from how these things behave, not from solid human studies. On top of that, calamus contains beta-asarone, which the FDA banned from foods over toxicity worries, so I'd steer clear of it regardless. Please check with your pharmacist or neurologist before combining anything new with Zeposia.
