What Is Sarecycline Used For?

Brand name: Seysara

Seysara (sarecycline) tablets are prescribed for moderate to severe inflammatory acne — specifically the red, inflamed pimples (called non-nodular lesions) seen in acne vulgaris. It is approved for people aged 9 and older.

Seysara has not been studied for treating bacterial infections beyond acne. If your acne does not improve after 12 weeks, your prescriber will reassess whether to continue treatment.
