Here's the gist: your Jentadueto XR (a combo of linagliptin and metformin) already works to bring your blood sugar down. Caraway, in concentrated oil or supplement form, may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own. Stack the two together and, in theory, your numbers could dip a little lower than expected, which is what we call additive blood sugar lowering.

Honestly, this is on the gentle end. The concern comes from animal studies only, not human trials, so it's more of a heads-up than a red flag. The caraway you sprinkle on rye bread or in soups won't do much. If you take a concentrated caraway product, just check your sugars a bit more often and watch for shakiness, sweating, or dizziness. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before starting it.
