Choline + Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime
Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime brand name: Avycaz.
We found no known interaction between Choline and Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Choline and Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime and Choline in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime is filed under 4 classifications — including organic anion transporter 3 (oat3) substrates, organic anion transporter 1 (oat1) substrates, antibiotic drugs. Choline has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being atropine (minor) — and none of Avibactam Sodium, Ceftazidime’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

About Choline
What is Choline?
- Liver health and fatty liver
- Brain and memory support
- Prenatal nutrition and fetal development
- General nutritional supplementation
- Sports performance
Choline is an essential nutrient your body needs for liver function, brain health, and nerve signaling, and many people get enough from foods like eggs, meat, and fish. Supplements may help people who are deficient or who have higher needs (such as during pregnancy), but they are not proven cure-alls and very high doses can cause side effects. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting a supplement.
Not applicable (an essential nutrient found in foods and made in the body) · Capsules, tablets, softgels, and powders; common forms include choline bitartrate, choline chloride, phosphatidylcholine, alpha-GPC, and CDP-choline (citicoline)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Choline is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Choline record says about it on its own.
Choline: dosing
There is no single "treatment" dose of choline that works for everyone, and the right amount depends on your age, sex, life stage, and diet. Health authorities have set recommended adequate intake levels for daily choline as well as a daily upper limit, but these are general nutrition guides rather than doses for treating any condition.Supplements come in different strengths and forms, and the amount of actual choline varies by form.

About Ceftazidime and Avibactam Injection
What Is Ceftazidime and Avibactam Injection Used For?
Brand name: Avycaz
Avycaz (ceftazidime and avibactam) is used to treat three types of serious bacterial infections in adults and children at least 31 weeks gestational age: complicated intra-abdominal infections (cIAI), complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI) including pyelonephritis (a kidney infection), and hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia or ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (HABP/VABP). All three of these infections must be caused by specific susceptible gram-negative bacteria for Avycaz to be effective.
When treating complicated intra-abdominal infections, Avycaz must be used together with metronidazole, another antibiotic. Avycaz is only meant for infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria that it can actually fight — using it otherwise can lead to antibiotic resistance.
