Insulin Aspart falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Dragon Fruit interacts with.

Dragon fruit might lower blood glucose levels. Theoretically, it might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Dose adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: dragon fruit may nudge your blood sugar down a little on its own. Since insulin aspart (Fiasp) already works to lower blood sugar, eating a lot of concentrated dragon fruit (think extracts or large supplement doses) could add to that effect. In some people, that might push you a bit too low, causing hypoglycemia with symptoms like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or confusion.

The good news: this evidence is fairly weak, and enjoying dragon fruit as a normal food is unlikely to cause trouble. Insulin aspart isn't a prodrug, so dragon fruit doesn't change how it's broken down, it just stacks a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect on top. Keep monitoring your sugars, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting a supplement form. Never adjust your insulin on your own.

What Is Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Fiasp

Insulin aspart is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in people with diabetes mellitus. It is approved for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in adults, and for diabetes mellitus in pediatric patients.

Insulin Aspart Protamine and Insulin Aspart Mix 70/30 is a pre-mixed product that combines a rapid-acting and an intermediate-acting insulin aspart. It is approved to improve blood sugar control in adult patients with diabetes mellitus. It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis, and because its ratio of rapid-acting to intermediate-acting insulin is fixed, it does not allow for separate mealtime versus background dose adjustments.
