Here's the gist: Levorphanol is a strong opioid pain reliever that already slows down the brain and nervous system. That's how it eases pain, but it also brings drowsiness, foggy thinking, and slowed breathing. Elecampane is an herb that, in theory, may have its own mild calming or sedative quality. Put the two together and you could feel more sleepy, dizzy, or out of it than the medication alone would cause.

I'll be straight with you: this concern is theoretical, based on how the herb might act, not on solid human studies. Still, since Levorphanol is a powerful opioid, it's worth playing it safe. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and never adjust your pain medicine on your own.
