Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Levetiracetam
Levetiracetam falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Elecampane interacts with.
Elecampane might have sedative effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Levetiracetam (Keppra) already tends to make some people feel drowsy, tired, or a little foggy and unsteady. Elecampane has been suggested to have mild sedative, calming properties of its own. So the concern here is just additive: two things that can each make you sleepy, stacked together, could leave you more drowsy or off balance than usual.
I want to be honest about the strength of this one. It's theoretical, based on how elecampane might act, not on solid human studies, so for many people it may not amount to much. Still, since Keppra controls seizures, don't start, stop, or change anything on your own. Run elecampane past your pharmacist or doctor first, and go easy with driving until you know how the combo affects you.

- Asthma symptoms
- Loosening mucus (expectorant)
- Digestive upset
- Intestinal worms (traditional)
Elecampane is a traditional herb used mainly for coughs and other respiratory complaints, and as a bitter for digestion. Brand names: Keppra, Elepsia XR, Spritam

Natural Medicines records Levetiracetam as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Elecampane — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
